About The Position

Perform all custodial related duties to maintain a safe and clean facility, including interior and exterior grounds. Reports to the Director of Facilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience or work history with the ability and desire to learn building custodial services.
• Must communicate appropriately with peers and management and to exhibit patience and understanding towards client population being served.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
• Prepare vacant units for re-occupancy as scheduled in partnership with the building Superintendent.
• Respond promptly to cleaning or maintenance requests from staff, tenants, or management.
• Support maintenance staff with basic tasks such as replacing light bulbs, restocking supplies, etc. as needed.
• Ensure exterior areas- including walkways, entrances, and parking areas- remain clean, safe, and free of debris.
• Ensure garbage and recycling areas are clean, organized, and compliant with building guidelines.
• Assist building Superintendent with room turnovers.
