Middletown Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare is a 230-bed TOP RATED skilled nursing facility dedicated to being a premier provider in short-term rehabilitation, subacute, & long-term healthcare services & trusted by families to care for their loved ones for 30+ years. This is a full-time evening position (3pm - 11pm) and requires working every other weekend. Requirements

  • Some high school education, required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staff
  • Must have a working knowledge of housekeeping techniques & sanitation
  • Ability to follow written & verbal instructions required

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in maintenance, porter, janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping position preferred
  • Healthcare experience a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist or perform minor grounds activities & maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities
  • Prevent unnecessary waste loss, & damage to resident’s belongings
  • Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment & supplies
  • Clean, sanitize, & maintain assigned areas within the facility including resident areas
  • Perform cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities &/or based on seasonal/project requirements including floors (sweeping, mopping, etc.) by various means including dusting, vacuuming, & polishing
  • Report needs & concerns to appropriate staff
  • Ensure proper care in the use & maintenance of equipment & supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety & environmental practice
  • Refresh bath area by cleaning toilet, & sinks; refilling hand towel & toilet paper dispensers
  • Keep supplies ready by restocking & sorting housekeeping supplies
  • Troubleshoot minor breakdowns; maintain supplies; call for repairs
  • Remove soiled linens & empty trash receptacles, dispose trash into compactors &/or dumpsters for proper disposal
