About The Position

North Jersey Friendship House is seeking a part-time Porter Floater, who will be responsible for covering various locations, as well as cover when someone is out. The Porter Floater will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure occupants a clean and safe environment. Must be able to work weekends when needed. The ideal candidate must be friendly, a self-starter, and able to take direction well.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year previous maintenance / janitorial experience.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
• The Porter Floater will use an agency vehicle to drive to and from individual work sites.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains cleanliness of offices, classrooms and lobby floors, windows, doors and walls.
• Cleans and maintains cleanliness of restrooms; includes floors, sinks, counters, commodes and fixtures.
• Clean and maintain cleanliness of elevators and/or stairwells.
• Monitor the interior and exterior of the building and grounds to make certain the grounds and common areas are free of debris.
• Empty garbage containers in common areas, offices, classrooms, and restrooms ensuring general areas are free of litter.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
