About The Position
Islander 71 Fish House & Raw Bar is a high-volume waterfront restaurant on Isle of Palms known for fresh seafood, strong team culture, and a fast-paced, energetic environment. We are looking for a Porter / Dishwasher who is reliable, hardworking, and interested in growing within the kitchen. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to get their foot in the door and develop into a prep or line cook over time. The Porter / Dishwasher plays a critical role in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently. This position supports the entire BOH team and is the foundation for kitchen operations. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear path to learn the kitchen and grow into a cooking position.

Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and consistently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish area, kitchen floors, and back-of-house spaces
- Take out trash and assist with maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- Support kitchen team with basic prep tasks as needed
- Restock supplies and assist with organization of kitchen areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
