About The Position

The Pool Area Server is responsible for taking food and beverage orders and ensuring the owners and guests are served in a courteous and timely manner. The position is responsible for also maintaining solid product knowledge, providing assistance, and making suggestions to guests regarding product decisions

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pool Server or similar role in a restaurant.
Cash handling experience a must.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Familiarity with restaurant management software (POS).
Strong customer service skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
High School degree, GED or Equivalent.
Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies .
Manual dexterity.
Standing for extended periods, lifting, and carrying heavy items.
Fine motor skills.
Sense of smell and taste.
Stress management.
Physical agility.

Responsibilities

Warmly welcome guests, inform them of any specials, and answer any questions.
Take food and beverage orders, make recommendations, and up-sell items.
Accurately time and input food and beverage orders utilizing the POS computers.
Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes and present to guests; collect payment from customers and make change.
Serve food and beverages to guests, checking back with them to ensure satisfaction and take actions necessary to provide for their needs or correct any problems with a sense of urgency.
Pre-bus pool area as necessary during service; removing any unused and/or dirty dishes, utensils, glasses, and trash, taking them to the kitchen for cleaning.
Complete assorted pre-shift and post-shift side-work as assigned by the manager.
