About The Position

Pool Scouts of Lake Norman and South Charlotte is looking to hire a Pool Repair Technician who is reliable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable diagnosing and resolving pool equipment issues in the field. This role is focused on troubleshooting and repairing residential pool systems. The ideal candidate understands how pool equipment works as a system and can confidently identify issues, recommend solutions, and complete repairs correctly the first time. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with pumps, filtration, plumbing, heaters, and controls are essential. Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional pool service or repair experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily workload
  • Clear communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Dependable, honest, and accountable

Responsibilities

  • Drive to customer locations in a company vehicle
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on residential pool systems
  • Perform equipment repairs and replacements involving circulation systems, filtration, heaters, plumbing, sanitization, lighting, and controls
  • Inspect equipment pads and identify both active issues and developing concerns
  • Clearly explain findings and repair recommendations to customers
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and follow-up needs
  • Maintain tools, parts inventory, and vehicle organization
  • Support repair quoting and job planning when needed
  • Follow company procedures and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with office staff and management regarding job status
