This role blends operational leadership, safety awareness, and service excellence in a high-volume, seasonal environment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of food & beverage management experience in resort, hotel, or luxury hospitality environments, preferably with poolside or outdoor venues
  • Proven ability to lead high-volume, seasonal operations while maintaining refined, Forbes-level service standards
  • Experience training and managing pool service staff, bartenders, and support teams, with a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and guest engagement
  • Working knowledge of pool safety protocols, alcohol service laws, and sanitation requirements
  • Hands-on experience managing labor, scheduling, and staffing adjustments based on occupancy, weather, and business demand
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with culinary and beverage teams on poolside menu execution and service flow
  • Experience overseeing opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory control
  • Strong guest-facing leadership style with a proven ability to manage service recovery calmly and effectively
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments while balancing efficiency, safety, and elevated hospitality
  • 4-year college degree preferred, but combination of education and relevant position training and experience will be considered
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs
  • Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays
  • Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed and able to work in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pool F&B operations, including service flow, staffing, and guest experience
  • Lead, train, and develop pool service staff, bartenders, and support roles following all Forbes level standards
  • Ensure adherence to pool safety standards, alcohol compliance, and sanitation requirements
  • Manage poolside menus, service standards, and collaboration with culinary and beverage teams
  • Control labor, manage schedules, and adjust staffing based on weather and occupancy
  • Maintain SOPs for opening/closing, cash handling, and inventory control
  • Actively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly
  • Collaborate with Resort Operations and F&B leadership to align service with overall guest experience
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall Leadership
