About The Position

Farmington Country Club is preparing for an exciting Spring and Summer season and is seeking a Pool Manager to join our Aquatics team. This role works closely with the Aquatics Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the Club’s swimming facilities, including—but not limited to—safety, cleanliness, and overall facility appearance. The Pool Manager plays a key role in training, supervising, and supporting pool staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards, operating procedures, and a high level of member service. This leadership position requires varied availability throughout the season, as well as availability to work on major holidays, including Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day.

Requirements

  • Flexible scheduling availability, including mornings, evenings, and major holidays throughout the summer season.
  • Strong professional communication and organizational skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • A minimum of one (2) year of supervisory experience at a comparable aquatic or pool facility.
  • Ability to commit to assisting with all home swim meets.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • American Red Cross or equivalent CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
  • American Red Cross or equivalent AED/First Aid training.

Nice To Haves

  • Scheduling flexibility through August and early September is preferred.
  • American Red Cross or equivalent Lifeguard training or higher (preferred but not required).
  • Certified Pool Operator (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Assist Aquatics Coordinator with oversight and management of day-to-day operations of the Club’s swimming facilities.
  • Lead and mentor Assistant Manager staff by modeling professionalism, enthusiasm, and safety in daily operations.
  • Monitor and record all pool related activities, including accident reports, timecards, pool chemicals, lifeguard schedules, supervisor reports, and daily checklists.
  • Develop and implement pool safety standard for Farmington Country Club.
  • Hire, train, and supervise aquatics staff in all aspects of pool safety, operating procedures, and member service standards.
  • Assist in conducting regular in-service safety trainings for lifeguard staff.
  • Create and manage lifeguard schedules and clearly communicate scheduling expectations with the team.
  • Develop and oversee daily and weekly cleaning schedules to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained aquatics facility, including the pools, pool deck, pool locker rooms, and office spaces.
  • Communicate clear expectations and performance standards to all aquatics staff.
  • Oversee and supervise lifeguard staff during operating hours, addressing safety concerns promptly and constructively while fostering positive team dynamics. Staff should feel motivated, supported, and accountable daily.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all emergency action plans and demonstrate the ability to respond effectively during emergency situations.
  • Aid in planning and execution of specialized aquatics programming, including swim meets, major holidays, and special events.
  • Represent Farmington Country Club in a professional capacity both in and out of the water by adhering to all club policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and engage with members and guests in a manner that reflects a high standard of excellence and overall member satisfaction, while upholding FCC’s commitment to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members.
  • Serve as an aquatic liaison to committees when necessary.
  • Ensure timely communication of upcoming and current programs to members.
