About The Position

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Pool/Beach Set-Up Attendant to welcome guests and members to our beach and pool areas while providing outstanding food and beverage service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes initiative, and delivers service with a positive and professional attitude. The Pool/Beach Set-Up Attendant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining beach and pool setups, assisting guests throughout the day, and ensuring timely, enthusiastic service to enhance the overall guest experience.

Requirements

  • Communicate in a clear, concise, grammatically correct, pleasant and sincere manner.
  • Understand requests and correctly, creatively and expediently carry them out.
  • Be outgoing, friendly and patient even after working long hours.
  • Handle multiple requests with poise, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Understand and practice the policies of The Seagate Beach Club.
  • Use good judgment at all times.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
  • Work long hours when necessary and be flexible with schedule.
  • Be able to work weekends and nights and holidays as necessary.
  • Stand and walk for extended hours. Lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Most work tasks are performed outdoors.
  • Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures.
  • Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation, using suggestive selling techniques to encourage the guests to choose items that are house specialties.
  • Ability to make standard bar beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Must have the ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel and pool areas on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighting up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
