About The Position
The Polysomnography Technologist role is responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders through polysomnography, diagnostic, and therapeutic services or patient care and education.
Requirements
- Graduate of AMA-approved School of Respiratory Care, electroencephalogram diagnostics or polysomnography CAAHP approved program preferred.
- Completion of college level basic principles of polysomnography course preferred.
- Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, or Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS or CRT-SDS) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required .
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Three years of experience in Respiratory Care, with extensive experience in CPAP/BIPAP application preferred.
- Two years of sleep study experience preferred.
