Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, required.
Minimum of two years of experience in a sleep center, required.
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, required.
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
Good communication skills
Medical terminology
Previous experience with computers
Manual dexterity and the capacity to deal with visual concepts
Initiative and judgment to proceed with work without constant supervision
High degree of patience and understanding in dealing with unusual situations
Ability to work flexible nighttime schedule
Basic ECG recognition
General understanding of the concepts of polysomnography
Two year college preferred or related health field experience, required
Registered with NC Medical Board. Required.
