How you’ll make an impact in this role Interview patients to assess sleep disorder issues and explain the testing procedures. Prepare both the patient and the necessary equipment for the ordered testing. Perform and accurately document sleep studies. Continuously monitor the patient during testing, intervening as required to address patient needs or resolve equipment malfunctions. Collect, analyze, and integrate patient data to identify and address patient-specific requirements. Score, interpret, and report the results of the sleep studies. Prepare, calibrate, and maintain the equipment used for testing, including performing repairs and reporting any required replacements. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Requirements
