Job Summary Reporting to the Supervisor Diagnostic, the Polysomnographic Technologist New Grad is responsible for performing a variety of Sleep Studies on infants and children to include calibrations, monitoring equipment set-up and scoring based on the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Guidelines. Processing of all documentation in order to provide accurate information to the physician.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Enrollment in an accredited Polysomnography or RCP program.
  • Must maintain a minimum of 10 CECs annually specific to the discipline of sleep medicine; approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine or Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
  • Must obtain Polysomnographic Technologist credential (RPSGT) within one year of hire
  • PEARS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Desire to work with children and their families
  • Ability to communicate technical and/or clinical observations and accurately score records
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Proficiency in use and theory of all equipment relating to sleep diagnostic testing
