About The Position

Full-time WEO - Nights, three 12-hour shifts Friday/Saturday/Sunday Additional Information: Performs both diagnostic and therapeutic services under indirect supervision of a registered sleep tech. Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe and effective patient care that addresses age-specific variations related to clinical, educational, psychosocial and cultural needs.
  • Monitors each patient during the sleep study and score sleep stages according to the guidelines from the AASM.
  • Preparing each patient for the sleep study, reviewing their medical history, and applying sensing equipment and electrodes to them before they begin the study.
  • During the sleep study the technologist monitors patient and records data.
  • Collaborates with other team members and departments to facilitate patient care across the continuum.
  • Maintains a clean and safe evironment conductive to meeting customer needs and regaulatory standards.
  • Provides feedback, reports, & initiates changes to improve patient care and/or the work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
