Collect patient history, verify orders, complete documentation, and educate patients about sleep studies Prepare and calibrate testing equipment; apply electrodes, sensors, and perform PAP mask fitting Conduct overnight polysomnographic testing, monitor signal quality, and document patient data and clinical events Implement interventions such as PAP therapy and oxygen administration (within licensure scope) Score sleep stages and clinical events and assist with generating accurate reports Maintain equipment, follow safety and infection‑control standards, and stay current with certifications (BCLS, CE credits) Provide age‑appropriate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients What do you need to be an Polysom Technologist? Completion of a 2‑year polysomnography program or possession of the RPSGT credential State license/certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Candidates with a Limited Permit may apply, but must work under direct supervision and obtain the RPSGT credential within one year of hire Ability to perform detailed clinical monitoring, patient communication, and equipment troubleshooting Strong documentation and patient‑care skills Ellis Medicine is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Salary Range: $23.40-$33.93 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 2‑year polysomnography program or possession of the RPSGT credential
  • State license/certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
