About The Position

Saint Joseph East is a 217-bed, full-service, community hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, which includes the Women's Hospital at Saint Joseph East with a 16-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). CHI Saint Joseph Health is part of CommonSpirit Health, a non-profit, Catholic health system with approximately 175,000 team members and 25,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, serving 24 states through 140 hospitals and over 2,200 care centers. As a Polysom Tech, the role involves performing diagnostic sleep procedures according to physician orders and established protocols. Daily tasks include setting up the lab, preparing patients, conducting and evaluating polysomnograms, scoring sleep staging, assisting with data tabulation, and monitoring/adjusting equipment. Success in this role requires thorough knowledge of sleep monitoring equipment, continuous skill maintenance through education, and participation in quality assurance under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Manager to ensure diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited polysomnographer program
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, upon hire or Certified Polysomnograph Technologist, upon hire or Respiratory Care Practitioner: KY, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities
