About The Position

Saint Joseph London is a 150-bed regional hospital, part of CommonSpirit Health, a non-profit Catholic health system with approximately 175,000 team members. The hospital is located on a 52-acre healing environment, offering private patient rooms overlooking a lake and healing garden, and has been recognized as a Best Place to Work in Kentucky for five consecutive years (2020-2024). As a Polysom Tech, the role involves performing diagnostic sleep procedures according to physician orders and established protocols. This includes setting up the lab, preparing patients, conducting and evaluating polysomnograms, scoring sleep staging, assisting with data tabulation, and monitoring/adjusting equipment. The successful candidate will possess thorough knowledge of sleep monitoring equipment, maintain skills through ongoing education, and participate in quality assurance under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Manager to ensure diagnostic accuracy and patient safety. The position also requires compliance with safety and emergency procedures, hospital/department/unit policies, and proper documentation of activities. Respiratory Therapists with Sleep/Polysom training and experience will also be considered for this role.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited polysomnographer program
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, upon hire
  • Certified Polysomnograph Technologist, upon hire
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: KY, upon hire (will consider with Sleep/Polysom training and experience)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Thorough knowledge of sleep monitoring equipment
