The Polysom Technologist performs and operates sleep study equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and with physician oversight to include polysomnography, Continuous Positive Airway pressure (CPAP) titration, Home Sleep Testing, and electroencephalography. Responsible for record keeping of patient files, faxing reports as needed, along with other clerical duties as needed. Cleans and prepares equipment for patient use. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Accrediting Body and Sleep physician expectations/protocols Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction Contributes to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resources efficiently Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area Supports goals of department/organization. Works as a team player by enhancing team effectiveness, supporting, and assisting team members, the department and/or the organization
