The Polymer Center Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of Polymer Center equipment across one or more locations. This role involves leading a team of technicians (mechanics and electricians) in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on fixed and mobile equipment, as well as managing building and facility maintenance. The manager ensures that all repairs and maintenance for Republic Services' machinery and equipment, including stationary sorting, grinding, and washing equipment, trucks, containers, powered industrial lifts, and other heavy-duty equipment, comply with the Company’s safety and maintenance standards, and all federal and state regulations. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling work to ensure safety, efficiency, and timely completion, thereby reducing lost productivity and maximizing facility operating time. The role also involves managing personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions, and controlling maintenance costs.
