About The Position

You will fabricate some of the world’s most advanced optical components used in the most advanced semiconductor photolithography machines. Through your attention to detail, results orientation, and commitment to task, you will produce high precision quality optics per production schedule. You will maintain the safety and workplace organization of your processing area. You will value adherence to standards while applying your experience and perspective to contribute to continuous improvement in our processing methods. You will enjoy success generated through your individual desire to learn and through teamwork with your colleagues. We are looking for individuals like you to work in one of our processing competencies. These include: machining glass materials into final configuration using CNC milling equipment; grinding and polishing surfaces of optical components to rigorous dimensional and surface quality specifications; loading material into and operating deposition chambers to coat optics; precisely align and assemble glass parts with a high degree of accuracy in order to produce high quality optical assemblies; measuring optical characteristics of components using advanced metrology equipment for in process material processing feedback and final quality inspection.

Requirements

  • High School or trade school graduate or G.E.D
  • Intermediate mathematical skills including use of basic math, geometry and trigonometry
  • Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office & SAP
  • Demonstrated experience polishing optical glasses, glass-ceramics and crystals
  • Ability to work individually or in a team setting with other technicians and/or engineers
  • Ability to cross train and support cross functional groups.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Ability to effectively communicate one on one and in small groups to operators, management and engineers
  • Ability to work individually or in a team setting with other technicians and/or engineers
  • You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Responsibilities

  • Grind and polish optics on conventional spindles, continuous grinders and polishers
  • Perform blocking and unblocking of parts.
  • Ability to work safely on fragile high value optics
  • Measures work-piece for conformance to specifications
  • Notifies supervisor of discrepancies
  • Follows written and verbal English work instructions that describe the process and the required measurements
  • Possesses strong blueprint interpretation skills
  • Familiarity with using the following measurement tools: micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, and pH meters
  • Verify settings by regularly measuring parts before and after changes are made
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to supervisors and co-workers on all shifts
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Candidate will be required to wear PPE where appropriate and embrace the ASML 5S requirements
