About The Position

The Polisher is responsible for ensuring that all glassware, silverware, and tableware used in the dining area are spotless, polished, and ready for service. This position supports the front-of-house team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation that reflect the restaurant’s commitment to excellence.

Requirements

Previous experience in a fine-dining or hospitality setting preferred but not required.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift and carry trays of glassware and dishes (up to 50lbs).

Responsibilities

Carefully polish and inspect all cutlery, glassware, and chinaware to ensure they are spotless and streak-free.
Handle delicate items with care to avoid breakage or damage.
Organize and store polished items in designated areas for easy access by service staff.
Maintain cleanliness and order in polishing and storage areas.
Follow proper hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
Assist in setting up and breaking down service areas when needed.
Communicate any shortages or breakages to supervisors promptly.
Support other back-of-house duties as assigned.
