About The Position

The Policy & Regulatory Affairs Intern contributes to ACP’s policy efforts related to siting and permitting, offshore wind, and workforce and safety initiatives. This role provides exposure to how policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration support clean energy advocacy and implementation. Working closely with the Policy & Regulatory Affairs team and in coordination with communications, research, state affairs, and federal affairs colleagues, the intern will contribute to policy research, content development, and internal coordination across multiple issue areas.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, with an interest in renewable energy, public policy, business, law, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with guidance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience related to public policy, regulatory affairs, or advocacy.
  • Comfort conducting policy research and synthesizing complex information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in clean energy policy, siting and permitting, or offshore wind issues.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor offshore wind policy developments and contribute content to offshore wind communications.
  • Contribute to planning and drafting content for ACP’s annual Safety Campaign and related workforce initiatives.
  • Review and help revise fact sheets, briefing materials, and reports developed for member use.
  • Track and summarize policy developments related to siting and permitting, offshore wind, and workforce and safety issues.
  • Participate in administrative and coordination tasks, including drafting committee communications, uploading documents to the member portal, and taking notes during subcommittee meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support alignment across policy, communications, and advocacy efforts.
  • Contribute to additional projects and tasks as needed to meet team priorities.
