About The Position

Engine Foundation (Engine) is seeking a Policy Fellow for the Spring of 2026. Engine is a D.C.-based non-profit advocacy organization that works to promote policies that encourage the growth of startup ecosystems. We focus on issues at both the local and federal level that impact startups and their ability to scale nationwide and globally.

These issues include:
Access to talent (high skilled immigration and STEM education);
Access to capital (tax and capital formation);
International Trade;
Data security and privacy; and
Strong intermediary liability protections (free speech, sensible copyright policies, reduced regulatory burdens on intermediaries).

We are looking for a KIP participant to help with our policy advocacy and grassroots work in Washington, D.C. Your work would include engaging and substantive tasks such as:

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and carryout grassroots startup outreach
• Writing articles and blog posts on policy issues
• Helping with larger research projects
• Attend events that are relevant to our D.C. outreach
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments
