About The Position
The Taxpayers Protection Alliance Foundation (TPAF) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to educating the public about the effects of excessive taxation and spending by all levels of government through research, investigative reporting, and analysis. TPAF also educates the public about government transparency and openness in the United States and around the world. The Taxpayers Protection Alliance Foundation (TPAF) is seeking a highly motivated part-time intern to join our policy team. Candidates should have an interest in economic and regulatory policy areas now being debated in Congress and within the executive branch as well as a strong commitment to free-market economics and limited government.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in policy research is preferred but not required.
- An ideal candidate will have strong writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Draft original economic and regulatory analysis, to be published under your name
- Conduct research to assist the policy team in drafting policy papers, op-eds, blogs, press releases, etc on a wide range of issue areas including tax reform, tech policy, healthcare, antitrust, regulation, and more
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, such as congressional votes and committee hearings
- Attend various events in Washington, D.C., to promote TPAFâs interests.
