As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Policy & Advocacy Intern to join the 202 6 S ummer Internship class. The Policy & Advocacy Intern will support and assist the US Corporate & Government Partnerships team with various tasks.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have completed at least two years of relevant undergraduate study.

  • Experience working with government, especially Congress, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with research and policy-related projects
  • Supporting IJM’s advocacy efforts
  • Attending congressional hearings and other D.C.-based events relevant to IJM’s work
  • Conducting policy research
  • Assisting with event planning or execution of campaigns (ex. Advocacy Summit, TIP Report release, in-district meeting summer campaign, etc.)
  • Managing IJM Advocacy inbox and responding to constituent queries
  • Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support
