About The Position

Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age, have the ability to gather and classify information, and be able to prepare clear and concise police reports. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a current OPOTA certification or at time of appointment. Must be able to pass physical examination, polygraph examination, psychological examination, and an extensive background investigation. May be required to undergo an annual physical examination and periodic psychological and/or psychiatric examination as needed. The following certifications are required: A valid Ohio driver’s license A valid OPOTA Basic Peace Officer Training Certification
