Selected candidates will attend the 612-hour Police Academy at Colorado Mountain College’s Spring Valley Campus in Glenwood Springs, fully sponsored by the Town of Vail. You’ll receive $38.75 per hour during the academy and, upon successful completion, POST certification, and departmental vacancy, you’ll have the opportunity to join the Vail Police Department as a full-time officer. Requirements

A strong work history in a related field.
60 credit hours from an accredited college or university (BA or BS degree preferred).
Exceptional communication, public relations, problem-solving skills, and guest service orientation.
A high level of integrity and professionalism.
Applicants must pass a polygraph, psychological evaluation, drug screen, background investigation, and physical abilities testing.
21 years of age or older at the time of academy graduation.
