About The Position

Summary of Functions Provides high quality customer service to poker game customer by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures. Responsible for dealing the game of poker in accordance with gaming policies and procedures. Arrive at designated workstation and/or relieve dealer 5 minutes before shift time ensuring the floor persons field of vision is not blocked when going in or coming off the game. Greets all customers and, when possible, acknowledges known players in an appropriate manner. Projects positive body language on live and dead games. Encourages eye contact on dead games with customer to encourage play. Maintains a friendly and professional attitude at all times towards customers and all employees. Demonstrates attentiveness while dealing the game with cards, placement of cards on table and dealing with customers to ensure protection of the game and maximize the company's assets. Communicate all pertinent information to Poker Floor Supervisor and Poker Shift Supervisor as stipulated in departmental policies and procedures. Ensure control/protection of company assets. Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record. May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings. · This job description does not list all of the duties of this position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 500-1000 verifiable hours of dealing experience at a live table or successful completion of Northern Quest Casino Poker class.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and employees.
  • Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License.
  • Prerequisite: Must pass an audition to be considered for employment.
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
