Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort Position Description POSITION TITLE: Poker Brush DEPARTMENT: Table Games GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H7—Non-Exempt BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key--Blue REPORTS TO: Poker Supervisor, DR Poker Supervisor, Poker Supervisor--WSOP SUPERVISES: NA JOB SUMMARY: The Poker Brush is responsible for assisting in creating and maintaining lists for poker games, in addition to making fills for the Poker Dealers table tray banks, as well as player chip transactions. This individual is also responsible for answering incoming poker phone calls, communicate upcoming events, in support of the company’s service initiatives by greeting every customer, either in person or on the phone, with an upbeat and positive attitude. JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment Greet players as they enter the poker room and provides prompt and courteous service Provide dealers with bank fills for the table tray banks, in accordance with all departmental and company policies and procedures Provide players with chip transaction in accordance with all departmental and company policies and procedures Maintain the cleanliness of the Poker Room Assist players in seating for poker games Answer incoming calls Assist in creating and maintaining sign up lists and seating for the poker room games Perform other duties as assigned by the Poker Management Team Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required One-year customer contact experience required Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills: Must be able to communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and guests Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively Attention to detail Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills (including in volatile situations) Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Neat, professional appearance with excellent person hygiene Basic gaming device knowledge Knowledge of CMS, and Caesars Reward systems PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to operate in stressful situations Must be able to lift 30 pounds and carry 5 pounds Must be able to maneuver to all areas of casino Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke Must be able to work up to 60 hours per week, if business demands require Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
