About The Position

Role Summary:Supports department by coordinating system Point-of-Care (POC) activities consistent with nursing unit/location/affiliate needs and capabilities within regulatory guidelines. Oversees all point of care testing, monitoring and maintaining equipment to ensure that all quality assurance deliverables are met, designs, develops and implements all POCT policies and procedures surrounding the testing activities within the System locations. Audits and closely monitors all incident reports, quality control reports, testing policies and procedures and any other concerns for the purpose of ensuring that the facility is in compliance with all regulations. Works closely with the physicians, directors, managers, POCT staff, clinical laboratory administration & staff and quality & risk management to ensure high quality testing and regulatory compliance at all POCT locations. Specific job duties will vary based on area served.

Requirements

  • Required Education:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written materials, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally with peers, customers, staff, physicians, senior leadership, and regulatory agencies.
  • Required Experience:Three years of technical and supervisory experience in area. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, email.
