About The Position

PMO Support Manager, Mid The Opportunity: Work under general supervision to provide support to all phases of IT project and portfolio management life cycles for a government client, including collecting, validating, organizing, and interpreting project and portfolio data or documentation. Assist with tracking project and portfolio cost, schedule, risks, issues, and performance. Perform information gathering, analysis, and preparation of data call responses and responses to information requests with project managers and cross-functional teams. Assist clients with preparing portfolio-level meetings, briefings, or conference and meeting summaries for portfolio-wide distribution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT project delivery or IT portfolio management
  • Experience using Micro sof t Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to be a self-starter, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize and plan workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to translate complex topics into actionable requirements
  • Ability to quickly grasp and implement new concepts, frameworks, and technologies
  • Ability to lead meetings, including client-facing meetings, using customer service
  • Ability to utilize analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making to support a complex project
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Micro sof t Project and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of IT Governance concepts such as the Enterprise Performance Life Cycle and Stage Gate reviews
  • Knowledge of IT project management concepts, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Knowledge of IT portfolio management best practices and management concepts
  • Possession of excellent team-oriented and team building skills
