As part of CDW’s Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS) organization, the PMO Manager is charged with shaping and developing our services vision and strategy around a service area and technology portfolio. To realize these targets, the PMO Manager must balance a strong financial and operational results focus with an equally strong coworker development and client emphasis. The PMO Manager applies the necessary professional breadth and depth to drive successful CDW offerings and raises the overall capabilities of Program and Project Managers. The PMO Manager is accountable for effective and efficient day-to-day Services operations, and for driving alignment with the Sales team and Solutions team. The PMO Manager is a business, sales, and solutions thought leader at CDW. The PMO Manager is responsible for leadership in driving towards finance, operations, growth, scale, coworker performance management, and internal / external client quarterly and yearly targets. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of project and program management experience with 1 year of managerial experience, OR 11+ years of project and program management experience with 1 year of managerial experience.
  • Previous consulting management and/or sales management experience.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in both traditional and Agile project management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge and proven success of engaging with and collaborating with pre-sales and sales teams.
  • Ability to adapt to the business needs of the practice and team coverage model.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, mentoring, and collaborating.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to identify and creatively resolve client, project, and people issues.
  • Experience working with vendors and business partners.
  • Ability to lead and manage to ensure attainment of critical results.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor in a strategic partnership.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet business unit sales objectives.
  • Ability to lead and develop team members across multiple geographies both remotely and in-person.
  • Comfortable with, and interest in, learning new technologies.

  • Previous experience navigating a matrix organization
  • Relevant Certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM, CSP, SPC, PMP, SAFe, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Focuses on team and self-continuous improvement and is the "Go To" person for project management expertise, both technically and strategically in their respective region or technology domain.
  • Responsible and accountable for team financials, successful project outcomes, gross profit and profitability of projects and programs in a 100+ million-dollar project portfolio.
  • Full HR and performance management responsibility for a team of direct and in-direct reports.
  • Coaches and mentors team members to improve their technical, consulting, and pre-sales skills.
  • Drives quality control to ensure team members projects meet and exceed standardized quality and consistency requirements.
  • Creates and delivers PMO centric presentations on key and relevant topics.
  • Conducts regular meetings with services leadership on staffing plans and pipeline
  • Manages and looks for ways to increase assigned team utilization attainment.
  • Engages in project escalations and triaging efforts.
  • Laser focus on the client experience and ability to work with sales leadership and other functional leadership to attain best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Ability and desire to assist and lead internal initiative efforts focused on developing standardized templates, tools, methodology standards and PMO brand value enhancement activities whenever possible.
  • Ability to utilize equity-based training techniques and inform assigned team members on changes in methodology, procedures, tools, and templates.
  • Promotes a “can do” culture and collaborative problem-solving mindset.
  • Acts as a resource to peers and sales for advice and recommendations on program structure and delivery.
  • Assists with new hires and proactively provides mentorship and guidance to new hires to accelerate productivity.
  • Establish and cultivate solid working relationship with all internal clients –Services Managers, Solutions Teams, Recruiters, Account Executives, Sales Management and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Engages in the interview processes for new hires and performance evaluations for current team members.
