About The Position

The Grounds members are responsible for overall cleanliness and upkeep of the park. They will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to; pressure washing, backpack leaf blowing, ride-in leaf blowing, floor cleaning, window cleaning, high dusting, trash pick-up/collection, parking cars & special event set-up. Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday 2pm to 10:30pm. Drop days are Monday and Tuesday.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screen
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable through the park’s insurance carrier
  • Ability to walk around in a 168-acre park.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of industry experience with high-pressure equipment preferred
  • Experience operating machinery (Carts w/trailers, forklifts) preferred
  • Prior experience with handling of cleaning chemicals
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed
  • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Enthusiastic and positive energy
  • Attention to detail and ability to exceed quality standards
  • Multi-tasking ability
  • Willingness to work within a team structure.

Responsibilities

  • Use pressure washers and low-pressure cleaning equipment to clean sidewalks, walls, building facades, dumpster pads, curbs and other surfaces
  • Use backpack and ride-on blowers to clear all surfaces of debris
  • Maintain park cleanliness by picking up trash in all outdoor spaces
  • Specifically trained to clean surfaces to remove dirt, spills, gum, surface staining, mildew, insect presence, etc.
  • Keep all park areas (including back of house) clean and clear to ensure no slip-and-fall opportunities
  • Assist with parking vehicles during busier days/events.
  • Follow all safety protocols when executing the parking position
  • Utilize the Event Plans to properly set-up and strike equipment for special events
  • Safely and effectively operate a variety of large equipment once trained (Gas cart w/trailer, electric cart, forklift, etc.)
  • Use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Maintain work areas in a neat and efficient manner, assuring equipment and tools are properly stored after each project is completed
  • Read and comprehend safety data sheets for all chemicals and uses them according to directions
  • Communicate with all park guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner
  • Report maintenance and/or safety issues
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
  • All other duties as assigned
