Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with guests
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Professional appearance and adherence to dress standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability
  • 1+ year of bartending experience preferred
  • Hospitality or restaurant experience strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid alcohol service certification (per local/state laws)
  • Knowledge of DC alcohol laws and regulations
  • English fluency required
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases, supplies)
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive motions (shaking, pouring, garnishing)
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy bar environment
  • Ability to safely handle glassware and bar equipment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service at the bar and in the dining area
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar (glassware, garnishes, and supplies)
  • Accurately process orders using POS systems and handle cash/credit transactions
  • Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with alcohol laws
  • Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible service
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies as needed
  • Assist with inventory counts and communicate supply needs to management
  • Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, tools, and equipment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service
  • Address guest concerns and escalate issues when needed
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Support other restaurant operations as needed
