About The Position

The Plumbing Warranty Technician is a highly skilled service professional responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and resolving warranty-related plumbing issues in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires advanced product knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing an excellent customer experience while representing the company’s values in the field.

Requirements

  • Apprentice/Journeyman level plumber minimum
  • 4+ years plumbing experience in both residential and commercial systems
  • Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting ability across all common materials and fixtures
  • Deep understanding of plumbing codes, system design, and installation standards
  • Highly skilled in customer-facing communication with builders, property managers, and homeowners
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in sensitive or escalated warranty situations
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and reporting habits
  • Valid plumbing license or certification (as required in service area)
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Familiar with mobile field service software and tablet-based dispatching
  • Pride in craftsmanship and representing the company with professionalism and empathy

Responsibilities

  • Respond to warranty service calls in homes and commercial buildings to diagnose plumbing problems
  • Accurately identify root causes of issues in various plumbing systems and materials
  • Perform high-quality repairs on fixtures, piping, valves, equipment, and system components under warranty
  • Communicate clearly with clients about findings, solutions, and next steps to ensure trust and satisfaction
  • Document all work performed using service management software, including photos and material used
  • Coordinate with project managers and install teams for job history or unresolved install issues
  • Interpret builder standards, manufacturer warranties, and internal QA processes to resolve claims efficiently
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked vehicle and tool inventory
  • Act as a field representative for the company’s brand and commitment to excellence
  • Educate clients on proper plumbing system use and care to prevent repeat issues
