About The Position

IES Residential is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Plumbing Supervisor to lead residential plumbing operations across multiple job sites in Grapevine, TX. This leadership role involves supervising field crews, ensuring high-quality plumbing installations, and coordinating closely with project stakeholders to keep timelines, safety, and code compliance on track. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential plumbing, experience managing teams, and is familiar with Texas plumbing regulations and inspection standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of residential plumbing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Advanced knowledge of rough, top-out, and finish plumbing for single-family or multi-family projects.
  • Familiarity with Texas plumbing codes, permitting, and inspection processes.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage multiple crews and priorities.
  • Proficient with digital tools (mobile apps, email, scheduling platforms).

Nice To Haves

  • Texas Journeyman or Master Plumber License
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
  • Experience with multi-site supervision across subdivisions.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day plumbing operations at residential new construction job sites throughout Texas.
  • Assign and manage plumbing crews, monitor attendance, productivity, and quality of work.
  • Interpret blueprints, site plans, and job specs; ensure proper layout and pipe placement.
  • Verify all plumbing systems meet Texas state and local codes, safety standards, and job specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to field crews when needed.
  • Order materials and manage inventory for multiple job sites.
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Maintain jobsite safety through regular safety meetings, audits, and enforcement of OSHA and IES safety practices.
  • Mentor and train apprentices and journeymen to advance their skills and licensing goals.
  • Document work progress, incidents, material usage, and labor tracking with mobile tools and reports.
