About The Position

The Plumbing Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through effective leadership, field support, and sales development of plumbing technicians. This role focuses on coaching and mentoring field technicians to identify and present solutions that meet customer needs, ensuring a high level of professionalism, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The ideal candidate has strong plumbing knowledge, sales experience, and the ability to lead by example in both the field and the office.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in plumbing, plumbing service management, plumbing sales, or related field.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate field technicians to achieve sales and performance goals.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, diagnostic processes, and service sales.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or dispatch software (e.g., ServiceTitan, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a plumbing technician, plumbing sales manager or service manager.
  • Background in residential or commercial plumbing sales.
  • Experience developing technician incentive programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and mentor plumbing technicians on sales techniques, customer communication, and service presentation.
  • Work alongside field technicians to identify sales opportunities and ensure accurate diagnosis and quoting of plumbing issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase service sales, customer retention, and overall company profitability.
  • Monitor individual and team performance metrics, providing regular feedback and coaching to achieve sales goals.
  • Review estimates, invoices, and proposals to ensure accuracy and profitability.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to optimize scheduling and job efficiency.
  • Conduct ride-alongs and on-site visits to provide real-time coaching and ensure company standards are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Support the development of pricing strategies, service packages, and sales promotions.
  • Maintain detailed records of technician performance, sales activity, and customer feedback in CRM systems.
  • Work closely with the General Manager/RMP to stay informed on plumbing codes, products, and industry trends to ensure the team remains knowledgeable and competitive.
