About The Position

American Residential Services (ARS) is the nation’s largest provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services , employing over 7,000 professionals nationwide . We are seeking a Residential Plumbing Sales Manager to lead the sewer replacement, water main replacement, and excavation sales division. This role focuses on managing the sales process for large residential plumbing projects, coaching sales staff, and coordinating with field crews to ensure successful project execution. This position works closely with the Plumbing Service Manager and General Manager to grow the drain, sewer, and excavation replacement division while maintaining a strong customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of residential plumbing sales or sewer replacement experience
  • Experience with sewer line replacement, water main replacement, excavation, or underground plumbing projects
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and underground infrastructure
  • Familiarity with local plumbing codes, permitting processes, and excavation safety standards
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and sales skills
  • Ability to manage project scope, pricing, and customer expectations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the sales and coordination of sewer replacement, water main replacement, and excavation plumbing projects
  • Lead and manage the residential plumbing sales process for sewer line replacements, water main replacements, and underground plumbing projects
  • Meet with homeowners to assess plumbing failures and provide replacement solutions
  • Create accurate proposals for sewer replacements, trenching, excavation, and underground plumbing work
  • Coordinate project scheduling with drain technicians, excavation crews, and plumbing teams
  • Track sales performance, close rates, and revenue goals for the sewer and excavation division
  • Ensure all projects meet local plumbing codes, permitting requirements, and safety standards
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and profitably
  • Maintain strong communication with homeowners throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and improve sales processes for the sewer and excavation division
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members involved in sewer and water main replacement sales
