About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all plumbing installations across active job sites meet internal quality standards, adhere to project specifications, and comply with safety and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, generating detailed documentation, providing field-level support, and mentoring crew members on best practices. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with hands-on plumbing experience and has a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in plumbing (residential or commercial).
  • Current Journeyman Plumbing License required.
  • Solid understanding of plumbing codes, materials, and modern installation practices.
  • Strong knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license (with acceptable MVR) and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to walk, stand, kneel, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments and active construction sites.
  • Able to lift and carry loads up to 50 lbs.

  • Spanish-speaking skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and random inspections at active construction sites.
  • Evaluate plumbing installations to ensure alignment with project plans, company standards, and local codes. Identify, document, and report deficiencies, hazards, or deviations from plans.
  • Monitor jobsite compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Proactively address and report unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs or adjustments in the field when necessary.
  • Assist field crews with technical troubleshooting and guidance.
  • Ensure the proper use of tools, materials, and PPE (personal protective equipment).
  • Maintain detailed inspection logs, quality assurance reports, and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Learn and utilize digital reporting platforms for documentation and communication.
  • Communicate findings with supervisors, project managers, and site leads.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new field staff on quality control standards and safety protocols.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Educate teams on new products or procedures.
