Job Description Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations. Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe. May cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools. May assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay and plastic, using hand and power tools. May repair and maintain plumbing, by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains.May provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS). Other duties as assigned.Foreman – Possesses all of the journey level skills, having verifiable minimum experience and/or holds an accepted certification, license and/or degree in a specific craft. Usually considered the most experienced, highest skilled professional in their respective field. May provide supervision fo a specific craft crew. Requires little or no supervision.
