About The Position

Apprentice Plumber Alco Air | Longview, TX
JD Precision is looking for a motivated Apprentice Plumber who’s ready to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade. This is a great opportunity for someone with plumbing experience who wants to continue growing their skills while working toward licensure. You’ll work side-by-side with our team supporting residential service, repairs, and installations while gaining real-world experience and technical training.

Requirements

• Plumbing experience preferred (residential or commercial)
• Texas Apprentice Plumbing License is a plus (must be able to qualify and obtain if not currently licensed)
• Must meet Texas Apprentice License eligibility requirements:
• No felony convictions or crimes against the public
• Must be at least 21 years old (to operate company vehicles)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to work hard, get dirty, and handle physically demanding tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
• Reliable, coachable, and team-oriented mindset
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience towing a trailer is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers on residential service calls, repairs, and installations
• Support work including fixture replacements, water heater installs, drain cleaning, leak repairs, and basic diagnostics
• Learn and follow company processes, safety standards, and service procedures
• Maintain clean, organized tools, equipment, and work areas
• Communicate professionally with customers and teammates
• Participate in ongoing training to progress toward Journeyman/Tradesman licensing
• Follow all state and local plumbing codes and safety regulations
• Support after-hours or weekend service needs when required
