The Plumber IV uses practical knowledge to complete moderately complex projects and assignments within the Plumbing family. Helps train or mentor less experienced employees. Works under general direction. Own test instrument calibration and control (gauges, manometers, test pumps, press tools); schedule, verify, and quarantine out‑of‑tolerance tools. Develop and maintain kitting standards for common tasks (heater/pump service kits, valve rebuilds, press/PEX adapters). Perform advanced parts identification/interchange; maintain cross‑brand equivalency lists and adapter charts. Run water quality and disinfection support—collect samples, manage disinfectant dosage logs, and track results. Build diagnostic evidence packets—pressure charts, flow logs, camera images—and attach to CMMS records. Manage shop equipment readiness—threaders, press tools, test pumps—coordinate PM and repairs. Create visual work instructions for isolation, drain‑down, joining prep, and test sequences; train S1–S3 staff. Coordinate temporary bypass piping and staging for shutdowns. Audit parts crib accuracy—bin counts, adapter availability, consumables—and correct discrepancies. Support complex jobs by staging fixtures, valves, and special tools in sequence.
