Plumber II - Warren Correctional Institution
About The Position
This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor at a medium custody male correctional facility and will provide facility maintenance support. Work is reviewed by the supervisor through inspection of work in progress and on the basis of satisfactory operation of the repaired or installed equipment. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Performing journey level duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air, gas, water, and waste disposal systems. 2. Receiving and completing routine work assignments in the location of the needed repair and assignments involving work of special or unusual nature that are accompanied by specific instructions. 3. Exercising independence in performance of routine work with unprecedented assignments usually being discussed with and/or supervised by supervisor. (Salary Range: $37,782 - $66,120)
Requirements
- High School or General Educational Development (GED) certificate AND two years of experience in the repair, replacement or construction of piping systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Based on the nature of work performed, may require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission.

- Documented knowledge of the methods of installation and repair of plumbing systems.
