Plumber II - Anson Correctional Institution
About The Position
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at a multi-custody female correctional facility, this position provides facility maintenance support predominantly in the trade area of plumbing. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Performing journey level duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air, gas, water, and waste disposal systems. 2. Performing routine work assignments based on the nature of the location of the needed repair with assignments involving work of special or unusual nature are accompanied by specific instructions. 3. Exercising considerable independence in performance of routine work while unprecedented assignments are usually discussed with or supervised by foreman. 4. Reviewing work through inspection of work in progress and on the basis of satisfactory operation of equipment repaired or installed. (Salary Range: $39,244 - $68,679) This posting will close at 11:59 pm, the night before the end date listed above.
Requirements
- High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma AND two years of experience in the repair, replacement or construction of piping systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Based on the nature of work performed, may require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission.
