Start your plumbing career with paid, hands-on training alongside experienced Journeymen and Lead Plumbers. In this role, you’ll learn rough‑in, finish work, service diagnostics, jobsite safety, and how to read basic construction drawings. You’ll earn hours toward licensure and gain a clear path to becoming a Journeyman Plumber.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; MVR must meet company insurability guidelines.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work on ladders, in heights, confined spaces, and outdoor/hot/cold conditions.
  • Strong willingness to learn, follow direction, and work safely as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass standard background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Work under a Journeyman/Lead Plumber to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems on commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Measure, cut, thread, glue, solder, and braze piping materials including PVC/CPVC, copper, PEX, and cast iron.
  • Set and connect plumbing fixtures such as lavatories, water closets, carriers, floor drains, and water heaters.
  • Assist with rough‑in and trim phases, including pipe hanging, supporting systems, and performing pressure tests.
  • Read and interpret basic plans, elevations, and isometric drawings; assist with simple material takeoffs.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools such as threaders, press tools, band saws, drills, and more.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies.
  • Follow PPE requirements and safety procedures including lockout/tagout, ladder/scaffold protocols, and confined‑space guidelines.
  • Document work using photos and simple checklists; support site logistics and help with material staging.
