PLC Technician - Food Manufacturing
About The Position
My client, a leading food company in the Scranton, PA area, is seeking an Automation and PLC Technician with a strong background in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing of high-speed/high-volume manufacturing equipment. This position is a direct hire, with a very competitive starting hourly rate, company paid for medical benefits, company paid for training/certifications, PTO and other great incentives! Controls Technician Summary : A person highly qualified in the field of troubleshooting and installation of electrical / electronic devices and equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- 2 Year degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Certification or degrees in the area of PLC, VFD, HMI and all other related training or on the job experience
- At least 3 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician and Instrumentation
- Strong background in an industrial environment, preferably a food manufacturing facility
- 2 years or more troubleshooting PLC’s
Responsibilities
- Perform programming and maintain PLC programming and editing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Maintains the existing electrical infrastructure and automation applications.
- Must be familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to log and track work orders and PM's.
- Provide automation, MES and factory support on assigned shift, including development of E&C Technicians’ capabilities
