Method Flow Products, A Roeslein Company, is seeking a PLC Programmer. Method Flow is looking for an individual who has the desire to perform quality work in a safe manner, who is detail-oriented, and who has superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • This position would be responsible for training all new employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties to the organization's standard.
  • This position will also be responsible for developing the team and providing feedback for annual performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for the escalation of employee issues and company violations to ensure the employee understands the policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Performs all work in compliance with company standards, does not deviate from policies and procedures, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • This position will be the point of contact for the team and will respond timely to troubleshoot issues and avoid prolonged delays.
  • Must meet deadlines while working safely to ensure a quality product.
  • Vast experience with flow computers and/or PLCs (TotalFlow, ROC, Allen Bradley, SCADAPak)
  • Ability to setup Modbus communication
  • Ability to calibrate analog inputs and loop test circuits.
  • Experience programming logic using analog inputs/outputs, digital inputs/outputs, relays, etc.
  • Experience with SCADA register maps and third-party integration
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Strong volt/multimeter skills (AC/DC voltage, continuity & resistance testing)
  • Ability to trace wires from end devices back to RTU and PLC cabinets.
  • Work with customers to solve automation issues.
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Maintain accurate records of time and materials used on different projects.
  • Experience with various pressure/temperature transmitters, level indicators, flow meters, power distribution panels, valve actuators, etc.
  • Must be able to install automation devices on oil field equipment including pressure transmitters, level gauges, pneumatic valve controllers (Solenoids), gas/oil/water meters, and ESD buttons.
  • Skilled at the installation of steel piping stacks, gauges, and conduit fittings with the ability to cut and mount Unistrut.
  • Pull wire, zip-tie piping, place and fasten in cable tray, dig trenches, and run wire as needed.
  • Terminate wire into devices and junction boxes.
  • Follow directions and ask questions, as necessary.
  • Keep in constant communication with the Automation Lead and advise of any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Safely drive to customer locations and safely perform the required work.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of service tickets and timely submission.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization's goals.

  • Must follow training and company procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record and be 21 years of age to drive a company truck.
  • Four to six years' experience in an automation position including supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with different hand/power tools (EX: screwdrivers, wire strippers, wrenches, drills, impact drivers, shovels, pick ax, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required with a solid work ethic.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime.
