About The Position

TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop design, engineering and manufacturing services enable customers to reduce the time required to develop new products and bring them to market. The Plating Operator is responsible for operating various chemical plating lines to ensure that accurate cycles are ran to chemical plate metals and other materials to printed circuit boards (PCBs). Operator will be required to work around various hazardous chemicals and undergo chemical handling training.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to stand for the duration of shift
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, customer specifications, and procedures
• Basic math, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and computer skills
• Must possess interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills
• Follow all safety measures
• High School diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Previous chemical handling experience preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous PCB experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate wet process equipment for PCB panel processing through functions which include manual copper plating, solder plating, silver immersion, gold immersion, electroless copper, electrolytic gold, outer layer etching, organic coating, and hot air level processing.
• Set and maintain chemical processing equipment within operational parameters
• Manually set timers on manual chemical lines and monitor when timers are completed
• Cautiously load racks in plating tanks while ensuring proper temperature/current of baths
• Read blueprints and traveler documents to produce and move products according to customer specifications and to verify that all previous operations were completed
• Perform Preventative maintenance on all chemical machines as workload allows
• Follow all departmental process procedures correctly
• Complete all departmental documentation accurately
• Complete quality checks when product arrives in and exits the department
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management and cross-train as needed to assist production
