About The Position

Platform Engineer The Opportunity: Designs, implements, integrates, and maintains systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. Applies specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, and reviews or guides activities of junior employees. You Have: 3+ years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters in production environments E xperience with Helm charts, Kustomize, or Operators for deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes Experience with GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, or GitLab CI / CD for infrastructure and application delivery Experience with Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) or deploying or managing stateful applications on Kubernetes Experience building and maintaining CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code deployments Experience with monitoring and observ ability to oling, such as Pro met heus or Grafana, for platform health and SLA dashboards K nowledge of Linux systems administration and container troubleshooting, including logs, networking, and resource constraints A bility to identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt across platform environments, such as refactoring, dependency upgrades, and deprecated API migration, and work on- sit e at the designated location per program requirements TS / SCI clearance HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: E xperience deploying and upgrading ECK Operators and managing Elasticsearch / Kibana custom resources in Kubernetes Experience with Platform One Big Bang or Iron Bank hardened container workflows in a DoD environment Experience with GitLab self-hosted administration, including runners, pipelines, merge request automation, and repo sit ory management Experience automating dashboard generation or reporting such as Grafana-as-code, Kibana saved objects API, or scripted dashboard provisioning Experience with multi-classification or air-gapped deployment patterns such as IL5 / IL6, artifact mirroring, and offline registries Experience with Istio, Linkerd, or similar service mesh technologies for mTLS and traffic management Experience in Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane for declarative infrastructure provisioning Experience with DAST, SAST, or container scanning integrated into GitOps pipelines such as RMF or ATO compliance automation Experience with Vault, SOPS, or sealed-secrets for secrets management in GitOps workflows Experience running cost and resource optimization on Kubernetes, such as right-sizing, HPA / VPA tuning, and node pool strategy for stateful work load s like Elasticsearch

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience administering Kubernetes clusters in production environments
  • Experience with Helm charts, Kustomize, or Operators for deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes
