About The Position

The client is seeking a highly motivated Platform Engineer to streamline and modernize the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with a strong focus on improving developer productivity, delivery speed, reliability, and code quality. This role partners closely with development, architecture, operations, and security teams to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable, automated solutions that enable high‑performing engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Strong object-oriented software development skills.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go).
  • Solid understanding of software security and testing practices.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or NPM.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins, including:
  • – Jenkins Pipeline development
  • – Groovy scripting
  • – Jenkins Pipeline Shared Libraries (preferred)
  • – Jenkins server administration (preferred)
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Helm, Kubernetes networking and storage concepts.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and Git.
  • Basic experience with configuration management and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience working with SDLC tools including:
  • – Source control (Bitbucket, GitHub)
  • – Artifact repositories (Artifactory)
  • – Code quality and security tools (SonarQube)
  • – Secrets management (HashiCorp Vault)
  • – ITSM tools (ServiceNow)
  • Basic experience with observability and monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Foundational knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models (Kanban preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and the underlying platform capabilities.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across the SDLC to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for cloud and platform automation.
  • Design, implement, and evangelize best practices in software development, DevOps, and platform engineering.
  • Promote DevOps and SRE principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support and enhance tooling for continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve reliability, security, and performance of delivery pipelines.
